Free film Thursday

With the cool coming, enjoy the last bit of summer-ish weather tonight, with two free movie screenings in Brooklyn.

In DUMBO, Movies with a View closes out with the people's choice of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."

Gates open at 6 p.m.

Films are shown are the lawn of the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park. The entrance is at Main and Plymouth streets.


Rooftop Films screens a more current film tonight at Fort Greene Park at 8 p.m.

"P-Star Rising" tells the story of a precocious 9-year-old girl who becomes a rapper to fulfill her father's dreams.

The park is bounded by Myrtle Avenue, Cumberland Street and DeKalb Avenue.

So bring the blankets and the snacks, sit back and enjoy the show.
