Kitchen Klutz: Michèle goes Hollywood

*Check back Monday for this recipe

By Michèle De Meglio

I am a movie star!

Oftentimes in my own mind, that is but I finally decided to dress the part.

I threw on a casual look I might wear on Oprah to show I’m super fab but still the sweet girl next door — pink Juicy Couture top, cherry red heels and dark shades.

With my fancy duds, a crystal award for my amazing acting chops and a clapboard I borrowed from the set of my latest No. 1 movie, “Kitchen Klutz takes Paris,” I was ready to cook. The only problem — actresses don’t eat!

I had to regroup. What would a starving actress with a thriving film career and A-list boyfriend munch on?

I’m not interested in a liquid diet or that weird diet where Beyonce had nothing but maple syrup to trim down for “Dreamgirls.”

Hmm, what could I have? I know! Veggies!

Steaming some asparagus wasn’t special enough for this shining star, so I created something a bit more complicated and much more fab.

My dish needed only a few ingredients — cabbage, cherry tomatoes, salt, pepper and olive oil.

To start, I grated a head of cabbage, being extra careful not to damage my pretty blouse.

I coated a wok with olive oil (just a little since I’m watching my figure) then tossed in the greens. I added two handfuls of cherry tomatoes and hearty doses of salt and pepper. I sauted my little heart out until the veggies were soft.

Verdict: No personal chef needed here. The Kitchen Klutz is a star on the big screen and at the stove!

This delightful dish was well seasoned and packed a punch thanks to the gooey tomatoes, which exploded with sweet flavors.

To my delight, the cabbage remained somewhat crunchy. It was almost like eating potato chips! Almost.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, my fans are waiting.

Kitchen Klutz follows 20-something Michèle De Meglio as she burns casseroles and her fingers, all in hope of trading frozen dinners for home cooking.
