This week in 24/Seven

Each week we'll preview what you can expect in our 24/Seven print edition, out Thursday for you southern Brooklynites and Friday for the downtown neighborhoods.

Highlights include:

Dance: DUMBO is for dance as the 9th annual DUMBO Dance Festival returns to Brooklyn September 25-27, with over 400 performing artists at WHITE WAVE's John Ryan Theater and in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Small, Small Screen: If you’re a fan of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “The Office,” odds are you’re going to like “It’s OK! I’m an Actor," a web series by Park Sloper Christopher Ventura which recently premiered.

Art: Last year, Canarsie artist Paul Franzetti and his son Joe created their Galapagos Wildlife calendar, with proceeds benefiting a shelter in Ecuador. 2010 is right around the corner, and their next calendar is ready to ship.

Food: A review of Il Posto Ristorante Italiano in Bergen Beach, very popular among neighborhood diners, but just as many come from beyond its Bergen Beach boundaries and its popularity will only increase exponentially when people realize who is now in the kitchen.

Music: A recent Brooklyn transplant, DJ Scott Hardkiss releases his first album of original material with a release party September 23 at Santos Party House, while Early Day Miners take a bite out of the Big Apple September 21 with a show at Bruar Falls.

Columns: It's raining pasta in the Kitchen Klutz's kitchen with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on the menu, while the Reporter's Table delights in basil and what's left of summer with bruschetta. Michele, meanwhile, gears up for fall in Pumps & Pleats at Redberi in Prospect Heights.
