Unhinged musicians. Acrobatic burlesque. All female Led Zeppelin tribute band. Oh yeah, and costumes.

This year, Halloween in Brooklyn is a mixed trick-or-treat bag. Last week we brought you events for the whole family. Here’s a look at some highlights happening near you that are, well, not.

Halloween is a clever choice for a fashion show, and a “Zoolander”-themed one even more inspired. While not quite on the night, the Arsenal (153 Roebling St., 4th Floor, Studio 4B) in Williamsburg will do just that with its Zoolander Halloween Party & Derelict Fashion Show October 29, featuring a screening of the film at 7 p.m., followed by a Derelict fashion show at 9 p.m., complete with a walk-off (designers interested in participating in the fashion show can e-mail thearsenalnyc@gmail.com). Come dressed as your favorite “Zoolander” character and work on your best Blue Steel look. $5 at the door or free with a piece of fashionable clothing to be donated to Housing Works.

Another event to rouse you into the Halloween spirit in advance, Trixie & Monkey’s Party Show at Galapagos Art Space (16 Main St.) will bring high-flying antics to the DUMBO venue this October 30. The acrobatic burlesque legends present the first installment of their new monthly show at the space, with Halloween hijinks including a striptease and “madly brilliant stupidity” to kick things off. Hosted by Miss Astrid with special guests Albert Cadara, Lil Miss Lixx, Mr. Gorgeous, and DJ Momo Taro. Starting at 10:30 p.m. Tickets $20. For more, call 718-782-5188.

The King Khan & BBQ Show, a punk-doo wop duo from Canada comprised of former Spaceshifts bandmates Blacksnake (aka King Khan) and Mark Sultan (aka BBQ), is big on mayhem. They’ll be sure to bring it to Brooklyn when they perform at the Bell House (149 7th St.) in Gowanus this October 31 for an early show at 7: 30 p.m. Tickets $15. With Dum Dum Girls. For more Halloween at the Bell House, stick around that night for another Canadian duo — albeit this one more tame — indie electronic pop group Junior Boys, at 11 p.m. Tickets $18 in advance, $20 DOS. With Woodhands. For more, call 718-643-6510.

Another rocker who’s on his own orbit, Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Tim Fite celebrates the release of his new album, “Blood Harvest,” out appropriately on Halloween, with a show that night at Union Hall (702 Union St.) in Park Slope. Fite will play the goriest hits from his Halloween albums while accompanied by the Woes. Via Audio will also dress up and play, and there will be harvest-related activities like pumpkin carving, bobbing for apples, as well as new traditions like a costume exchange booth to do just that. Starting at 8 p.m. Tickets $12. For more, call 718-638-4400.

For Lez Zeppelin, another inspired concept, every day is like Halloween, as the female foursome tour the world paying homage to Led Zeppelin. This October 31, they bring their frenzied, gender-bending performance to Music Hall of Williamsburg (66 North 6th St.) for a psychedelic show sure to entertain. Starting at 9 p.m. Tickets $25. For more, call 718-486-5400.

For those with costumes their top priority, two parties in Brooklyn on Halloween will definitely encourage. At BAM (30 Lafayette Ave.) in Fort Greene, the Liquid Sound Lounge Halloween Costume Ball will feature The Super Duper band, providing funky beats for you to shimmy around in (definitely dress for dancing). Free, starting at 8 p.m., with music at 9:30 p.m. For more, call 718-636-4100.

Over in Prospect Heights, party people Gemini & Scorpio present Masquerade Macabre, a Halloween extravaganza at a private brick-and-chandeliers loft, Brooklyn Urban Sanctuary. The 12-hour spectacle, running from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., will feature 1920s jazz from Michael Arenella’s Dreamland Octet, tap dancers The Minsky Sisters, exotic Balkan rhythms from the Raya Brass Band, and more, as well as face and body painting by Painteresse Elyzabeth, fortune telling, cocktails by mixologists Court & Spark and a loft lounge with absinthe and other mind-altering potions by The House of St. Eve. For costume inspiration, think “Dark Victoriana,” macabre carnival, “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari,” Georges Melies films, Edward Gorey, and cabinet of curiosities. RSVP to get the exact address. Tickets $15 before 2 a.m., $20 after.

Another secret Halloween party in Brooklyn, Flavorpill Halloween 2009: Gods & Heroes, will host a party with a conscious at a location in Brooklyn, to be revealed on Halloween. All proceeds will benefit charity: water, with the goal to raise enough money to build a well for a school in Ethiopia. To tie in with the philanthropic vibe, the theme of the party is Gods & Heroes, so come as your favorite and dance to headliners the Very Best, plus Afrobeat stars Bajah & the Dry Eye Crew, tabla-rockers Sub Swara, Detroit house phenom DJ Kyle Hall, old-school NYC hip-hop DJ Stretch Armstrong, and Rubulad’s $mall ¢hange. At 9 p.m. Tickets $20, with all proceeds going to charity.

None of these are particularly appealing. They certainly don't sound like Halloween. 0 scares. Pretty lame as far as Halloween goes.
