An unblinking eye looks at Haiti quake

Telegraph21, in conjunction with the VII photo agency, spotlights “Haiti: January 12,” a multimedia essay about the Haiti Earthquake through the lens of prominent photo-journalist Ron Haviv.

Haviv was in Haiti less than 24 hours after the January 12 earthquake devastated Port- au-Prince and surrounding areas. His intimate reportage describes the carnage and brings the viewer close to the terrible personal experiences of the Haitian population.

The multimedia essay also includes an exclusive interview with Haviv where he discusses his experience in Haiti.

The show is at VII Dumbo at 28 Jay Street in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. It runs now to March 22 with an artist reception held March 4, 6:30-9 p.m. For more, call 347-748-1481.
