Do you LEGO® NY?

Christoph Niemann sure does.

The illustrator has expressed his admiration for the city he used to call home (he now lives in Berlin) by creating images of the city out of LEGO® pieces (including the renditions of Red Hook Greenpoint and Sunset Park at right. Some of them are more literal than others). That has culminated in a new mini coffee table book, "I LEGO® NY."

Niemann makes his only New York appearance to celebrate its release here in Brooklyn, with an event this Saturday, April 17, at powerHouse Arena in DUMBO.

You too can share in fun by bringing your own NYC LEGO® formations. The best three designs will win a free copy of the book, so break out the LEGO® set.

powerHouse Arena is located at 37 Main St. at Water Street. The reading is from 3-4 pm. To RSVP, e-mail lego@powerHouseArena.com.
