Benefits for Haiti in Brooklyn

It's been one year since the earthquake devastated Haiti, and Brooklyn's venues are taking this opportunity to further donate to the cause.

This weekend, Greenlight Bookstore will donate 10 percent of all sales to Haiti relief, including both purchases made in store and on the website. Funds will go to Partners in Health.

The weekend will also feature a reading with Alix Delinois, the Haitian-born illustrator of "Eight Days: A Story of Haiti," on Saturday at 11 am.

On Tuesday, up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn Bowl is throwing a benefit for Haiti. The concert features Lettuce with Maceo Parker, ?uestlove, The London Souls, among others. Proceeds are going to the Red Cross efforts in Haiti. There is a $20 minimum donation. The show starts at 9 pm.
